CES Is Huge, and the Dinner Is What You Remember

CES in Vegas: lots of cool tech, a chance to have dinner with a good friend, and a ton of amazing companies at the booths.

This place is huge. It takes days to get through it all. Thousands of companies, each one competing for your attention, and the aisles just keep going.

Here's the tension: you're there for the tech, but what actually sticks is a handful of things — and the dinner with an old friend.

The scale is the point. CES is the industry showing its size. But scale isn't the same as signal. Most of what you see blurs together — a thousand booths, a thousand pitches — and what you remember is the small human part.

Which is the real lesson: the tech is the reason you go. The human part is what you remember.
